Slice baguette down the middle into two even halves, then only with the top half, carefully take a thin slice from the crusty top side so that it will sit flat when served on a plate.
Turn oven to broil.
Cut the garlic clove in half, and gently rub along cut side of baguette.
Brush some olive oil on the inside cut side of the halved baguette. Sprinkle with a pinch Kosher salt.
Place in preheated broiler until crisp and lightly browned. Approximately 2-3 minutes depending on your oven.
Cut baguettes into serving size pieces.
Slice tomatoes and mozzarella.
Thinly slice basil leaves.
Begin layering onto the bread...tomato slices then mozzarella slices.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
Garnish with sliced basil leaves.
There is nothing left but to Enjoy!
Serve immediately...you don't want the bread to get soggy!
